VIJAYAWADA: The AP Metro Rail Corporation Limited (APMRCL) invited e-tenders for the phase-1 construction of the Vijayawada metro project, spanning 38.4 km, including 4.33 km of double-decker four-lane flyover, at an estimated cost of 4,150 crore on Monday.
The contract work includes the engineering, design, and construction of a viaduct length of 38.40 km (including 4.33 km of double-decker four-lane flyover-cum-metro viaduct) and one underground metro station, along with 32 elevated metro stations across the proposed two corridors.
The tender documents can be downloaded from the AP e-procurement tender portal from August 4, with the last date being 3:00 pm on September 17. The APMRCL stated that a pre-bid meeting would be held virtually at 11:30 am on August 18 at APMRCL, Mangalagiri headquarters, followed by a site visit if warranted by the interested bidders.
The submission of tenders will start at 3 pm on September 12 and end at 3 pm on September 19, with the technical bids being opened at 3:30 pm on September 19.
