LUCKNOW: Residents of Emaar Gomti Green staged a protest against the alleged illegal sale of their clubhouse by Emaar India.
The residents alleged that the clubhouse, which was originally constructed for their convenience and community use, was arbitrarily sold to an external agency.
Commercial activities are now being carried out there, raising serious security concerns. Moreover, late-night events are reportedly disturbing children’s studies and affecting the overall peace and comfort of residents.
Holding banners and placards, the residents organised a symbolic protest on the clubhouse premises, as well as outside the office of Emaar India.
They further stated that residents of Emaar Gomti Green are already facing daily issues related to electricity, water supply, and sewer systems.
RWA President Raj Kishore Rakesh urged the govt and the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) to ensure that the clubhouse is handed back to the residents and that their basic civic problems are resolved in time.
