NEW DELHI: State-run NBCC (India) has secured redevelopment contracts worth approximately ₹775.27 crore from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for the comprehensive overhaul of staff housing colonies in the national capital.
According to a regulatory filing, the contracts include redevelopment of DDA staff quarters at Old Rajinder Nagar (ORN) valued at about ₹437.79 crore and at Safdarjung Development Area (SDA) valued at ₹337.48 crore. The total project value, excluding GST, stands at ₹775.27 crore.
The projects have been awarded under a project management consultancy (PMC) model in the ordinary course of business, NBCC said in its filing.
DDA has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NBCC to redevelop its ageing and dilapidated staff quarters at the two locations. The redevelopment will follow a self-sustainable model, under which a portion of the developed built-up area (BUA) will be monetised to generate funds for construction, while the remaining BUA will be handed over to DDA for staff use.
Currently, 117 dwelling units at Old Rajinder Nagar and 152 units at Safdarjung Development Area are being used as staff quarters.
As per initial estimates, the total built-up area proposed to be developed is about 99,635 sq metres (excluding external development) at ORN and approximately 65,925 sq metres at SDA. The final built-up area will be subject to approval by DDA following detailed surveys and preparation of a detailed project report (DPR).
E-auction of DDA’s Premium Housing Scheme 2026
The live e-auction of flats for eligible bidders is scheduled to be conducted on March 2 and March 3, 2026.
DDA had launched its Premium Housing Scheme 2026 through an e-auction route on January 6, 2026. The last date for earnest money deposit (EMD) submission was February 20, 2026, while final application submissions closed on February 23, 2026.
