HYDERABAD: Telangana high court on Thursday suggested that the state govt consider establishing a specialised tribunal to deal with building-related disputes, noting that a dedicated forum could help ease the growing burden of such cases on the judiciary.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice GM Mohiuddin made the observation while hearing an appeal challenging a building permit granted in Oct 2025 to a builder for a project in Kothapet.

The appeal was filed by residents Srinivas Yadav and DE Nagaraju after a single judge dismissed their earlier petition seeking cancellation of the permit.

The court adjourned the matter to April 15.
