NEW DELHI: JK Cement has commissioned a three million tonne per annum (MTPA) cement manufacturing plant in Buxar, Bihar.
This is company’s first production facility in the state and was inaugurated by Samrat Choudhary, deputy chief minister, Bihar.
The plant, developed at an investment of around ₹500 crore, is spread across 100 acres along the Patna-Buxar highway. Construction began in March 2025.
The commissioning of the Buxar plant enables the company to shift to localised manufacturing in the state, which is expected to reduce logistics costs and improve delivery timelines. The company had previously served the Bihar market through supplies from its Prayagraj plant in Uttar Pradesh.
