JSW Cement Launches New Plant in Rajasthan, Expands Capacity to 24.1 MTPA, ETRealty

NEW DELHI: JSW Cement has commissioned its greenfield integrated cement plant in Nagaur, Rajasthan, marking its entry into the north India market and taking its total grinding capacity to 24.1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

The facility has a clinkerisation capacity of 3.3 MTPA and a cement grinding capacity of 2.5 MTPA. With this addition, the company’s total clinker manufacturing capacity has increased to 9.74 MTPA, including capacity at its joint venture.

An additional one MTPA grinding unit is currently under construction at the Nagaur site.

The plant will cater to demand from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and the National Capital Region.

The project has been funded through a mix of equity and long-term debt, with around ₹800 crore allocated from IPO proceeds towards part-financing of the unit.

The company has outlined a target to scale its total capacity to 41.85 MTPA by FY29.
